Medicaid, Long-Term Care Insurance and Private-Pay Home Care
Paying for care
Understand the payment path before care begins.
Mafolux Healthcare Services is Medicaid enrolled. Mafolux also accepts private pay and works with clients who use applicable long-term care insurance benefits or reimbursement.
Medicaid
Enrollment does not mean every person, service, schedule, or requested number of hours is automatically covered. Services depend on the client’s Medicaid eligibility, applicable program, assessment, authorization, approved service plan, and Mafolux’s ability to accept the authorized case.
Long-term care insurance reimbursement
Coverage varies by policy. The policyholder should confirm the elimination period, covered services, daily or monthly benefit, required assessment, documentation, caregiver or agency requirements, and claim procedure. Mafolux can discuss available service records, but the insurer makes benefit and reimbursement decisions.
Private pay
Private pay may provide greater scheduling flexibility because the family contracts directly for agreed services. Pricing depends on the schedule, duties, location, nighttime requirements, and caregiver availability.
